Susie Brown
Born and raised in Kenora, ON., Susie is a graduate of the three year Fine Arts Program at St. Lawrence College, Kingston, ON with a major in Printmaking.
She has been a featured artist at the local Sunset Gallery, with an exhibition of her Photographic Art exploring “Shoreline Spirits and Other Everyday Wonders”. She has also exhibited her works in other community group projects, and donated several pieces for local fund-raising initiatives.
Susie is a recent recipient of an Ontario Arts Council Grant as an emerging Northern ON Artist.
Susie’s work reflects her love of the Boreal Forest and surrounding lakes and rivers, and endeavors to capture the spirit of its rugged beauty.
“My vision is to expose the gifts of the Boreal to as wide an audience as possible, and to share with others the special joy and appreciation we can bring to everyday life, just by pausing to really See and notice the beautiful details of form and colour all around us.”
