Canadian Artist, Melissa Jean, currently lives and creates in Kenora, Ontario, in studio and plein air.  She is inspired by the waters in and around Lake of the Woods, Kenora’s forests, the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield, and the energy of the colors and light there.  She captures the spirit of her subjects through unique perspectives.

The Lake of the Woods Arts Collective, or LOWAC, was formed by a group of artists and those with interest in the arts. The vision of the group is to inspire unity, joy and opportunity through the arts in Kenora and the surrounding area.

LOWAC inspires unity, joy and opportunity by connecting arts and enriching community.

Synergy Newsletter

Synergy: Increased effectiveness, achievement etc. produced by combined action, co-operation etc. In each issue of Synergy, we will introduce you to the Lake of the Woods Arts Collective board and other artists who are LOWAC.
